The Haunted, Sentient, House

Haunted house, real haunted house, ghost house, a haunted house, the haunted house. | FUN box
I never expected this. A haunted house, sure, but a house that was alive? Never. I'd gotten reports of a house being haunted in the small town of Lakeview, Kentucky, and like my title states, I did my job and went to investigate. Just my luck that the house was alive, but haunted to boot. Now I'm stuck in here with the house trying to kill me, and the spirits trying to help it. I remember I was just going into the library to check it out, when the freaking doorknob exploded. If I had grabbed it, I would have a hand blown off. This house is not messing around, and neither are the spirits. They keep shoving me and other objects. I came in here with my tech assistant, but I haven't seen her since the house made it's first move. Of course, a little while ago, I heard a muffled scream. It wasn't a scream of terror, but the last scream that would ever leave someone's throat. I don't think my chances of survival are very high. I just hope I can get out.

The Impossible Problem

A short Planck | Geo-verse
The question is, you are driving to a place, we won't name anywhere for now. You have fifty miles to go until you reach your destination. In one hour, you travel half the distance. In the second, you travel half the previous distance. Every hour to drive, you go half the previous distance. That means the first hour to go fifty miles, then twenty five, then twelve and a half, and so on. How many hours does it take to reach the destination? The answer is that you'll never make it, but not for the reason you'd think.

In the universe, nothing actually touches. I don' have the time to explain it, but just take my word for it. Anyway, there is something known as the Planck distance in the universe. It is the closest anything in the universe can be to another. Now, eventually if you half your distance every time, you'll reach this distance, then you'll half it. So, you'll never reach your destination not because you don't have enough time, or you'll never get there from gas or anything, you'd actually break logic, and the laws of physics.

The Snow

The Blizzard of January 1996 - Top 10 Big, Bad Blizzards - TIME
It was cold. It was always cold though. Tim was used to it by now. He had always heard stories about how it used to be warm, and how people would actually get hot. He longed for these mythical days sometimes, but knew that they had to be stories made for the young ones to sleep with at night.

Tim lived in what used to be known as Florida. The average high for temperatures was around -40 degrees Celsius in the dead of winter like it was now. Any skin exposed to this cold for longer than ten minutes would suffer extensive frostbite.

That was a big issue in Tim's small town. In a world like this, you wouldn't want to loose a finger. Of course, there were other things one needed to be careful of. Things like the people. The Militia to be exact. There are roving bandits here and there, but the Militia is something else.

The Christmas Thief

Woman miraculously escapes unharmed after car crashes into home

"No sense in being coy about it," I said to myself. I put the car in gear, and revved the engine. My neighbor, an older lady who wasn't especially nice, had taken my Christmas decorations and was using them. It's not like I was going to use them anyways, but she still took them without permission. And I hate thieves. I revved the engine again, and sped away, heading straight for her house. Who cares if the decorations get hurt, I just wanted revenge. I sped into the woman's house, crashing through a wall and one elongated window. Jostled by the impact, but undeterred, I exited the vehicle.

"Oh my god!" the lady shouted, running into her living room that now had an extra car in it." What are you doing!?"

"I'm getting my decorations back!" I shouted, running out through the hole I had made. The lady followed me out.

"Your decorations, who are you?" the lady asked. Her eyes went wide in shock." You're that escaped crazy person form the asylum."

"Yes I am!" I shouted, my voice crazed.

A Pause Button

I would rather have a pause button than a rewind button in my life. A rewind button would be nice, but human beings should live with our lives because our mistakes and how we solve them make us who we are. A pause button could be used to just step out for a moment, get some rest or something, and then resume your life with no harm done. Of course, it could be used for wrong if not in the right hands, but I don't think I would. We are supposed to make mistakes, and how we handle those mistakes is who we are, so a rewind button would make a person different. A pause button would like on TV. You can just pause and come right back.

Writer's Block

Writer’s block? There’s an app for that. — Contrary Blog
For some time I have been writing. I enjoy doing it, and my creative mind is always pushed to create interesting ideas, places, and people. Still, recently I have encountered a bad patch of writer's block. I've gotten it before, but this time it is much worse. I have not felt like writing as much as I used to, and when I do, I can't come up with anything good. I hope I get out of this rough patch soon so I can continue to do what I love.

I Deserve a Day Off

ACES Grade Day - No School - No Hay Escuela > Ash Creek Elementary School
I deserve a day off because I work hard in school. I get my work done and turned in on time. I also never get lunch detentions, not one in the year and a half in the Middle School. I really deserve a day off because of how hard I work and how good I am. I do my best, and I should get a day off for it.

The Best Book I Ever Read

Artemis Fowl (2001) | Artemis Fowl Confidential
The best book I ever read was probably the first Artemis Fowl book by Eoin Colfer. It wasn't the writing style, or the way Colfer worded things, but what the book was about. The Artemis Fowl series is eight books long, and I have read them all, but the first one stood out from the rest. The first time I read it, it pushed my imagination to a place where no book had before. It set up a great series and created an amazing world. Masterfully made in how it blended reality with fantasy, the first novel in the Artemis Fowl series was the best book I ever read.

The Horses

UK Horses Go On Transit Strike Until Horse Meat Contamination Scandal is Resolved | Inhabitat - Sustainable Design Innovation, Eco Architecture, Green Building

The horses came around the corner fast, followed by a small figure chasing after them. Henry kept thinking to himself what went so wrong. He knew that horses were not very smart animals, never mind stories of the "noble steeds." Horses were the dumbest, shyest, and the most flighty creatures on the Earth. He had been doing what he always did when he woke up: filling the water bucket with water from the stream. After that he went to feed the animals, and then to brush down the horses. He opened the gate to the stable and began to brush down Abigail, the youngest horse that his family owned. The next thing he knew he was chasing two horses down main street of a nearby town.

All Gassed Up

Gas Station Business 101 - Why Buy A Gas Station? | Gas Station Business 101
I sat still in the living room as my parents talked in the kitchen. I knew it was about me. They'd just bailed me out of jail after my friends and I broke into a gas station. We didn't rob the place or anything, it no one asked us why we did it, but we did it for a reason you might not expect. My friends and I were after something hidden in the back of the store, and it isn't stealing if the person did know it was there and didn't own it. It was hidden under the floorboards in the back and we easily found it. An old talisman was what we found, and it looked just like the book described. We were about to leave to go find the next item the book talked of when cops suddenly showed up. They saw us outside the gas station that had clearly been broken into and "stolen" property in our hands. We tried to explain how the talisman belonged to me and needed it to save the world, but they didn't care.

The Man With Bad Grammar

He sat next to me. A constant reminder of why we have CA in school. He was writing a blog post just as I was, and he capitalized Friday in he middle of his sentence like he should, but he didn't capitalize the first word in that sentence. He didn't use punctuation right, commas where they shouldn't be and no commas where they should, and he misused periods. His name... was Toby Reimler, and he was the Man With... Bad Grammar. Yeah, maybe that was bad grammar too, but this isn't about me so keep it to yourself, I know I used two ...'s in a sentence, get over yourself.

The Big Bad Wolf

Original Picture
It was cold. The wind blew across the figures face's, kicking up the dusty snow and throwing it on their clothes like it was insulting them. Still, the three walked on.
"This is pointless!" Bruin argued." The girl dissipated days ago, she'd be dead by now. We should stop looking."
"We go until we find her, Bruin," Diana scolded him. Diana, leader of this small search party, had been wrestling with Bruin to keep him going. They were looking for a small girl, known around their small village by her signature red coat. She had been walking to her grandmother's house, and had never made it. That was four days ago, and Diana began to do doubt that they would find the girl, let alone alive.
"He has a point, Diana," Nathan said, trudging through the snow."It's been four days, if she didn't freeze she was eaten by... well you know." Diana did know, and that's what made her shiver, not the cold. Suddenly, heavy breathing and the sound of something big crashing through snow surrounded the group. Diana's honed hearing recognized the sound instantly.
"Wolves!" she shouted, and the group drew their swords simultaneously. They were on a forest path, and they could hear multiple creatures crash about. This weren't you're average day wolves, Nathan realized with horror.
"Beowolves," Nathan whispered. His friend shot him glance, their faces grim. Beowolves were not a rare occurrence, but not a common one either. The village the three hailed from had heard multiple unfounded reports of these creatures, and many believed that the lost girl had fallen victim to these creatures. They were like wolves, but stood at tall as a man on all fours, and they liked to stand up right. The three were slowly surrounded, and before they knew it, five Beowolves surrounded them. Then, one more came out from the trees. He was twice the size of any others around him, and more vicious too. But that's not what any of them focused on. What they focused on was the red coat that fabric that was in the creatures teeth. This one had attacked the little Red Riddinghood as she made her way to her grandmother's house. And then, it attacked them.

French and Indian War

Original Picture
Today we are learning about the French and Indian war in a different way. We are going out into the woods around the school and practicing Guerrilla warfare that was practiced by the French and taught by the Native Americans. We are wearing camouflage clothing and will be down in the dirt. The other history teacher, Mr. Ambrochure, will be taking his class out and practicing Linear Warfare. We will actually have a battle with paper balls in the woods. What they don't know, is that it's an ambush and we'll be hiding in the trees and moving while they must stand in lines.

Measuring Tape Riot

Original Image
This was absurd. A length of measuring tape, was that a joke? How was I supposed to subdue a possibly violent inmate with just a length of measuring tape? I stepped out of the security room, leaving my fellow security guard unconscious in his chair. He had hidden the keys to security locker, unloaded my gun, and then released the inmate himself! I don't know why he would do that, but now I had an inmate who was chasing prison staff around with a fork, and only measuring tape to subdue him. Yeah, this would go great. I stepped into cell block D, and that was when the forty plus inmates looked at me, all of them angry and with makeshift weapons in their hands. Mike hadn't let one inmate out, he had let all of them in cell block D out. We stared at each other for a moment, and then I ran for my life as they gave chase.

A Face in the Window

Original Image
I jumped back, resisting the urge to scream. I let out a slight squeal before clamping my hands over my mouths. That face... I rushed out of the room, not caring as the face in the window moved. As long as it didn't enter the house, I was fine. That was when the door unlocked, from the outside. Moving as fast as I could, and fighting the panic welling in my chest, I flew into my bedroom. I locked the door behind me, knowing it would only buy me a few seconds if that. Not bothering with the lights, I pulled my wardrobe open. I took out two object and then fished the phone out of my pocket. The phone rang as footsteps came down the hall.  Voice mail. I dropped the phone, not bothering to leave a message. It would be a waste of time, I'd be dead by then. Holding the objects in my shaky hands, I waited as the footsteps stopped outside my door. This was it... this was when I'd face Her.
To be continued...(Maybe)

Memories in a Bottle

If I could bottle up a memory, I would bottle up the time I first started writing my first book. I wouldn't bottle it up because it's a fun memory, but because it's a milestone in my writing career. It was the first time I actually set down with the intent to write, edit, and produce a full length book, and of written it now. I would love to always remember the day I started to write my first book because it's a huge miles stone in my life.

Still Writing

Original Image
So, a year after my last update on my book, I can finally say that it is finished. Well, not totally. I still have to edit it, and then there is the whole process of trying to get it published, and if that fails then I'll have to self-publish. Still, I am not letting my hopes down. I have also begun writing other books on the side. I have a few idea's in the works, but that's just it, they're in the works. I have one about a guy who joins a crew of mercenaries after he is kidnapped. Sounds more interesting when fleshed out, but hey, I can't write it all down here. Another focuses on a teen who find out everything he knows, is a lie. I can't say anything for sure, but both are going quite strong.

Proper Holidays For Heroes

In school, we get a day off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but not on Veteran's Day. I don't think that this is fair. Dr. King was a national hero to many, but Veteran's Day celebrates all of our heroes. The men and women that risk their lives everyday for our freedom deserve proper recognition with a proper holiday. Sure, Dr. King was a hero, and savoir to many, but the men and women in our Armed Forces are too.

Missouri Trying to Scrap all Federal Gun Laws

Original Picture

The article I read talked about how Missourians wanted to eradicate federal gun laws. State legislators have the power to veto the state governor's veto of a bill that makes all federal gun legislation null. The legislation doesn't only disband federal gun laws, but it prevents federal agents of enforcing them. Residents could actually sue agents because of arrests for the laws. It also makes it illegal for reporters and journalists to print the names of gun owners. Some saw that the bill is completely unconstitutional, and it will be shot down in court. Still, many people will back it in court. I think that some of the gun laws go against our gun rights, but  eradicating them completely is going a bit far. What the bill is proposing is most likely not pass, and in some ways it is a good thing.

Last Day of School

Today is my last day of school and I'm so exicted but I have to take my finals early. This year was ok but I got closer to some friends and broke apart from some too. I can't wait till the end of school so I can be on my summer break because knowing school these days I need a big break. I had a good time in some hours because it was just a blast. Some of my friends are mad and upset at me because I'm going on a  cruise which I'm trilled to go on. I told them that I would miss them all and that I would talk to them as soon as I get back. I made some really good friends that I don't want to let go of because their just that great and make me laugh.

The Hidden Treasure Chest

One day on a pirate ship there was a map to tell where the chest was. People from long ago looked for this treasure finally found it and when they did they heard a hidden voice telling them that there was a curse if you open the chest without its permisson. The people were never seen again because some people say that they were held on a curse. A couple years ago there were a couple teenage kids looking for the treasure and finally found it till they heard about the curse on it. The kids used contacts clues to figure out what had happened to those people a couple years ago. They thought together and said they would not open the chest without permisson and they did.

Silver Dollar City

I would always go to Silver Dollar City when I was younger and I would always go at least once a year. Silver Dollar City is a fun place to spend more time with family and have a really good time. Silver Dollar City has the best kettle popcorn and great shows. I would always scream with my cousin as loud as possible on the rollacoaster rides. I don't go to often like I used to because it was not a cheap trip. Silver Dollar City has the best rides anyone could imagine.

Christmas

One day a women named Mary and her husband Joseph were expecting to have a baby. They were in a small temple and had animals gathered. A couple days ago Mary had her baby where everyone was gathered to see and Mary and Joseph named their boy Jesus. An angel came down to let Mary, Joseph and Jesus know to follow the North Star and it will lead them back to their home. We celebrate Christmas because that's when Jesus was born and he did wonderful things when he was growing up.

The One Door

One time when I lived in a old house there was a secret door; I was curious so I opened it and went down the pathway. The pathway was kind of long and a little dark, but I managed it quite well. At the end of the pathway came seven doors, I was wondering if I should go through one. All of a sudden a creepy voice said I had to choose one and they all went to a certain place. I chose The Neverland door because I always wanted to go there and I could just in my house. I was wandering as I went through the Neverland door if I would meet Peterpan and Tinkerbell; probably not.

Skipping School

There are postive and negatives to skipping sschool because you get to do something fun and you will get a little behind. Skipping is great when your in a younger grade because life is easier than when your in a older grade. If you skip in high school you will have a ton of homework because its a higher grade. Unless your in like the third grade its easier because you don't have to make up a ton of homework. I skipped the last day of school for the past three years and this will be my fourth because I'm going on another cruise. It's fun to cruise and skip but its harder for me now then in the past becuase I'm in a higher grade so I have more work to make up, like finals.

Trampolines

Trampolines are the funnest thing on earth because you can jump for hours in a day, and you can use it for many more things with friends. I use trampolines for sleeping, tanning, workout, and being the egg for the crack the egg game. I love trampolines ecpecially with my cousins because they make it so much more fun and they are that amazing. Having a trampoline is amazing at some points because after a while you get tired of jumping and getting your workout you need a break. Trampolines are kind of expensive but its worth it right.

The Rewind Button

If I had a rewind button in my life I could rewind myself back to the past because in the past I was so happy being a kid I loved it. In the past I had it made I had a great family, great vacations, and some more. In the present it isn't happy or fun unless I'm at church on Wednesdays because my good freinds are there. The past was fantastic because life was easy and fun; I didn't have lots of homework, stressful projects, and I was young and cute. Being young is the best thing in the whole because you don't have to wake up at 6:00 in the morning for school.

My Grandma

My Grandma is the best in the world because she's just that awesome. Grandma is too kind because she gives my cousans and I $50 for birthdays and Christmas. This year for Christmas she only gave us $40 instead of $50, and she felt so bad. Grandma is the best cook but some of her recipies are a little fatting. My sister and I help her do everything like her laundary, switching her winter clothes in her closent to summer, clean around her house, and help her cook. Some friends even call her Grandma which is a little strange but she giggles about it.

A Day Off School

I deserve a day off school because we complete our goals and expectations, well at least most of us anyway. It would be a great thing to do every once in awhile because we as humans need a break sometime in our lives. I would love that day off school because it would give me extra time to do things school related. We all need that extra day because some people don't like to do their homework and they will hopefully do it if they have that day off. The day off school would be a dream come true for me because we all have those school routines everyday and it gets old, boring, and annoying when you do it everyday. On the day off if your caught up on school work you could spend the day outside or do something useful.

The Beach

The beach is a place where people go to relax or have a vaction there. The beach is a fun time because there is so much you can do. On the beach you can take a nap, build an awesome sand castle or even bury yourself in the sand. Beaches make people so happy because they just have the time of their lives. My experiences on the beach have been amazing because everytime I go I just laugh, and enjoy myself. Life without a beach would make me cry because I love the beach. Living or seeing teh beach everyday would put lots of energy into people and get them out of the house. I love to watch the sunset at night because I like how it sinks into the ocean.

If I were President

If I were president I would lower gas prices because now a days the price is high that its rare it will go down. In the future gas prices will be higher than they are now so we go to make sure they stay down and not up. Gas shouldn't be that expensive to get I mean I wouldn't want to pay $30.00 just for gas in my car. Everyday it goes up a little higher probably a couple cents. Its horrible how your money can fly just by gas. Some people walk because gas is high but the positive side to that is the people get their exercise. Gas needs to lower down on the money so we have extra to spend on wise things like food, water, and shelter.

Fairy Tale

Fairy tales are the best stories for children these days because they are like living as the characters. Fairy tales are teh best but my favroite are the princesses Cinderella, Ariel, Snowhite, Bell, and some more. These princesses have the same story but in a different type of way, and place. I would always waatch theses over and over and over again until it was time to eat or go to bed. I would watch them with family and it would be a blast. Watching it brings back memories but I haven't watched thoses movies in a long time but one day I will. I will always love the princesses plus I would always dress up like one.

The Adventure

Once upon a time there was a girl who lived in Kansas and she liked putting on a show for the people. One day she did something wrong and there was a tornado headed her way, so she had to run and the only place to hide was in a hot air balloon. She cut the rope and she flew up, but she was headed towards the tornado. She thought she was going to die until things started floating in the air, but then things forced its way near the hot air balloon and before you know it the balloon had popped. She was falling until she landed in a wonderful world and landed in a river. A person started walking towards her and she was scared to death. She then went in a builing and looked through a glass ball.

School

School is about education or as some people like to look at it. Most people like school because they get to hang out with friends. We students see the same people everyday till seven in the morning and until 2ish in the afternoon. Everyday is a routine you do the same thing everyday till summer; for example getting ready for school, learning, getting on a bus, and at home eating and doing homework. It's like that everyday for us kids and always looking forward to the weekend because thats where most fun is. School can be stressful sometimes but it takes a lot of responsiblities to get through the day.

The Night

One night my friends and I decided to break into a gas station for a reason they did not tell me yet. I went out my window and we went to 7-eleven for the break-in. I felt like a bad person until something caught my eye. A baby was being trapped by a kidnapper, and it felt like it was my turn to shine. I decided to sneak away from the troop and go through the back doors so I could handle this guy by myself. The dude looked scary when he was in a shadow but when you saw him in the light he looked sad, depressed and looked like he regreted what he had done. I went behind him and put my arm around his neck and asked him what he thought he was doing.

Computers

In this classroom people have complained that you get a lot of hot sheets and its a nightmare, but I found out that this class isn't so bad. One thing I'd liked about this class is the different projects we did. Even though we didn't go through a lot of the projects if was still fun. I actually like this class more than I thought because Mrs. Debolt is fun and a good teacher. I've had a computer class for three years straight, and you think I would get tired of it by now. One thing I don't like in the class is when people don't do what their suppose to do, and it gets annoying after awhile. Other than some of the bad stuff its a cool class.

Swimming

Swimming is so much fun most likely near a beach. You can swim with your family and friends and still have a good time. You can have pool parties which are my favorite part because you do two things at once. Swimming brings me joy because its something I love no matter what, and I enjoy it with my sister because we have splash fights all the time. On cruises the pools are kind of crowded because theirs so many people wanted to either sticks their legs in or just have fun in the actual pool. My cousin and I always find a way to entertain ourselves no matter if were bored or just doing random things.

Summer

Summer is my favorite season of all of the others because you don't miss playing outside and going swimming whenever. In summer people go to pools, getting a tan, playing outside, and making smores on a fire. Summer is memorible because you do all of these great things that you can't do in the winter because it's too cold. During summer yes it can get really hot but you can always have a surprised water fight. Summer is the best because you can go to the beach or have fun hanging out with family. Summer is the best for me because I don't complain being bored like I do in the winter because in winter all you do is be lazy.

The Math Teacher

Not to long ago I found out that my math teacher hadn't been at school for a while now. I was started to get worried and wondering if she was ok. The odd thing was that I recieved a letter a couple weeks after, but the letter was in code and I didn't know what to do. At school we get to be invited to a reunion and the weirdest thing of all is that the other students recived a simular letter like mine. Each day it got weird and none of the students including me didn't know what to do. All of us started thinking questions in our heads; thinking horrible things that could have happend.

Winter

Winter is a cold season but its very beautiful when it snows. During winter we celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday, but we get gifts. Winter is also very dangerous because thats when lots of recks happen from mostly ice. During winter you can't really do anything besides sledding if theirs snow and sitting inside from the cold. Some people hate winter because you get bored out of your mind; well I'm one of those people. Winter doesn't suit me because I miss when I go swimming with my family. During winter I get bored very easy, and all I can do is watch movies.

Being Sick

Being sick almost the worst thing out there in the world. When you're sick you struggle through time hurting. Sickness is kind of powerful or a mystery because you have know idea when or why it happens. When you see your relatives or sibilies you hurt or feel bad for them and wish they would get beeter soon. Tape Measure

The tape measure makes me think of types of wood because you can measure lots of wood with a tape measure. Wood pops up in my head because walls or roofs can be made of wood; you have to have the perfect length to make it fit just right. When you use a tape measure its like measuring someone's clothes because if they don't fit right your in trouble. The wood can be made out of lots of things like furniture, homes, fires and more, but if they're too short of too long you might have to start over but it depends on the situation.

My Twin Sister

I love my twin sister she has always been there for me when I need her. Arielle is my bestfriend and my sister. She is older than me by three minutes and sometimes she likes to be the boss. We always play anything together and help each other on homework. I love my sister and she knows that too because I say it all the time. Having a twin means someone is always looking out for you ssure we fight sometimes or a lot but thats how we work. If she gets something then I have to get the same thing because I get jealous over it.

The Memory

The memory that I would bottle up is when I went on my first cruise. I would bottle this memory up because it reminds me of the fun I had with my family. I would go back to this memory quite a bit because I had fantastic memories like dancing with waiters, swimming almost the entire day, going to cozmel and their paridise beach, and plenty more.

St. Thomas

The Carribean island named St. Thomas is a wonderful island from my experience. While I was in St. Thomas my family and I went to beach. I went to the deep with my uncle, cousin, and sister; I went snorkling and I saw the beautiful reefs and amazing looking fish. Going there was the best thing that happened to me so far. St. Thomas has different kinds of rules than the USA like driving on the opposite side of the rode. When my family and I rode in a cab we all thought we were going to die, but of course my dad was video taping.

Veteran's Day

Veteran's day is the most important time because we get to be proud of the men who sacerficed their life for our country. The men who made it alive are the men who kept each other safe throughout the fight. They served our country very well and fought for what they believed in. Their family back home must have to be worried sick so they come home safe and alive. The men stay together like brothers and they're some woman who also fought for the country with them so they're one happy family keeping eath other safe.

The Deathly Storm

One beauitful day outside on a hiking trail with a father, two sons, and a dog. They decided to go for a hike on a trail. They boys had fun until there was a surprised storm. The tempatures drop like 20 degrees and there came two inches of rain. That made the trail impossible to continue with that coming down. The family didn't survive the freezing cold and the two boys got to the hostpital and it became the saddest thing ever, and they were young. The dog survived the scene and laid next to the father; the dog was about four months old for a labrador retriever. I think that the gentlemen should have stayed home and played in their backyard so they could have a chance of living. Here's the article.
