In school, we get a day off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but not on Veteran's Day. I don't think that this is fair. Dr. King was a national hero to many, but Veteran's Day celebrates all of our heroes. The men and women that risk their lives everyday for our freedom deserve proper recognition with a proper holiday. Sure, Dr. King was a hero, and savoir to many, but the men and women in our Armed Forces are too. |
