Fall Out Boy and Paramore Concert

Antiquiet
On my birthday, February 21st, I got concert tickets! When I came home from school my parents sat me down and started talking to me about being responsible. They said thay though I was responsible enough to be able to go to a concert. I had been asking them casually, you know from time to time, and I think they got the hint. I had four tickets all together and decided to bring my mom, my cousin Tristen, and my Aunt Jenni.

My Cousin

Skreened
My cousin Tristen , age 10, was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Sarcoma. It all started when he had a bump forming underneath his left arm. We thought it was just from being bumped while playing around. It began to grow bigger so my aunt took him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with Cat Scratch Fever. Soon after that it grew bigger, and once again to the hospital he went. At Childrens he was diagnosed with cancer. He had to undergo two surgeries and made it through both. They also discovered that they had removed all the Cancer!

Pride

In class, during the past few days, we have been watching the movie Pride. The movie is about a man, Jim Ellis, who forms the first African American Swim Team. He gets a job cleaning out an old recreational building and comes across some boys playing basketball outside of the building. When the boys no longer have a basketball net, the city took it down, he invites them in to cool of in the pool. He soon realizes that they have potential, so he asks them to help him form a swim team. They also get a new addition to the team, a girl, to help them out. At there first meet the other teams coach said that his team wasn't feeling well and 'postponed' the game. After that the team went on to win many titles. Coach Ellis soon looses faith in himself after he gets into a fight and they find out that he had a record of arrest. Ellis put himself on suspension and told the team to coach each other for the next meet. The girl on the team is the first to finish first, followed by one of the boys. The boys put Reg as the anchor, even though he isn't the best swimmer, because he has the biggest heart out of them all and he wins them first place in the competition.

My thoughts and feeling about this movie are very strong. I personally loved this movie. It shows how people  go out of their comfort zone to accomplish something they really believe in. The way that they were treated made me think they would quit trying. He had been called many names and looked down upon, but Mr. Ellis did not give up. He did it for the children and he knew if he gave up, the children wouldn't have a good role model. This movie is such an inspiring piece of work and I recommend it. This movie has inspired me to stand up for what I believe in. Have you watched this movie? What are your thoughts on this movie?

My Family

intent blog
My family is pretty big. Not just my at home family but my whole entire family. My father came from a family of eight children, and my mother came from a family of five children. I also have about twelve to thirteen cousins. Just about every weekend we make a visit to go see them. They live in Ste. Genevieve and we live here in Festus.

QR Codes

Technabob
QR Codes are, just like the name tells you, codes. You scan QR codes with your cellular device or any electronical device. They can be used for many different things such as projects, scavenger hunts, and many more fun things. In class we used QR codes and still are for further projects. What I like about QR codes is that they are easy to use and easy to make.
