Today the 8th grade is going on a field trip. We will be going to the City Museum. Only the 8th graders that me their A.R. goal 3 out of 4 quarters can come. It will be a lot of fun. When we went last year as 7th graders we just hung out with friends and did whatever we wanted to (within the rules). That was my favorite field trip last year and we get to do it again. I am very excited and can't wait.

The Mile

Yesterday in gym our class ran the mile. We were the only class in the 8th grade to run it. I had a time of 6 minutes and 11 seconds. That was the second best time in our class. Running the mile is not as bad as it seems.

The Avengers

Yesterday I went to see the Avengers. I went with my dad and my three brothers. The movie was really good. It had Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. It was one of the best superhero movies I have ever seen.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is teacher appreciation week. I really appreciate all my teachers, but Mr. Kinder has to be one of the coolest. I appreciate Mr. Kinder because he teaches us everything he is supposed to in just one quarter. Also Mr. Kinder never complains about his lack of resources. He has been using textbooks from like 1896 before he finally got new ones this year. Finally Mr. Kinder is someone you can talk to. He will take time out of his day to listen to what you have to say. That is why I appreciate Mr. Kinder.

The photo is really awesome. Especially because it uses some of the techniques we are talking about in class. The image is clear, but the background is really blurry. That means they probably used panning. Also the farther things are away from you the smaller they are. Those are some of the things that this photo has that we learned about in class.

The NFL draft is tonight on ESPN. The Rams have the 6th overall pick and are really evaluating their options. Their are some people that think that the Rams will go with Justin Blackmon, who is a wide receiver out of Oklahoma State. Other people think that they will take an offensive lineman to help protect star quarterback Sam Bradford. Whichever way the Rams decide to go, this pick could have a lot to do with their future.

How We Can Help Save the Earth!!!

People on Earth can help keep it clean in more ways than they realize. For example, they can use reusable grocery bags when they are shopping. They can also recycle things such as cans, glass, and paper. Another way people can keep the Earth clean is to stop littering. I do all these things almost all the time. If everyone else does there part, we can make the Earth a cleaner place.

The St. Louis Blues start their quest for the cup tonight against the Sharks. This will be the Blues first playoff game this year. The team has had a great season up to this point, and would like to carry their momentum in to the playoffs. If they win it all,  it will be the first Stanley Cup in this franchise's long history. Although, in order to do that the Blues will have to start off good against the sharks. Good luck BLUES!!!!!!! 

A Reward that Motivates Me!

A reward that motivates me is baseball. My parents check to make sure I am doing well in all my classes. I always do my best, but maybe try a little bit harder knowing that if I don't have good grades I won't be able to play. If I don't play I am letting my team down. That is what motivates me.

Cardinals Win!

Yesterday was opening day for the St. Louis Cardinals. There was a lot of hype going in to that game. They played the Miami Marlins. This off season the Marlins spent millions of dollars improving their team and building their new stadium. So naturally there is a huge spotlight on them and the Cardinals got overshadowed a little bit. But the World Sereis champs came to play. They dominated 4 to 1.

Starting April 4th, Mlb 2k12 is having a perfect game contest. If you pitch a perfect game you have a chance to win 1,000,000 dollars. My friend and I are going to try to do it and split the money. We are going to do it at his house with his Xbox live account. We decided to try with the Phillies lefty Cole Hamels. We feel he gives us a pretty good chance. I am very excited about the chance to win.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the study of how a person uses their workspace or equipment. Some bad habits I repeat are slouching in my chair and not having my arms in the right position. I think our workstations are ergonomically sound. Everything in the room is where the video said it should be. People should sit all the way back in their chair. Their arms should be parrallell to the floor. Thier head should be level with the moniter with their eyes slightly down.

The St. Louis Blues are having a great season this year. They lead the entire NHL in points and they already clinched a spot in the playoffs. It is only getting better for the team. Injured players are starting to return and we have the best goaltending in the league. Not to mention they have a young rookie sensation named Jaden Schwartz. It is very exciting to be a Blue's fan right now.
